Accommodation - Hui a Tau 2010

Accommodation in and around Karitane has been quickly snapped up for the 19^th -21^st of November but there are still some options available.

Motel accommodation –

Pioneer Motels – Palmerston 03 465 1234 – There are still 4 units available and we have pencilled in bookings – you just need to let them know that you are coming for the Hui a Tau.

Camping Grounds -

There is camping space available at Karitane School at a cost of $10 per person for the two nights. There will be toilet facilities available. Please contact the runaka office if you would like to camp at the school.

Waikouaiti Beach Motor Camp 03 465 7432

For the self-sufficient camper there is also space available to camp locally, courtesy of some very kind members/locals– please contact the Kati Huirapa Runaka office for more information.

Large Groups –

There are several options available to large groups (ranging from 33 – 52). Please contact the office if you are interested in these.

Dunedin –

There is plenty of accommodation available in Dunedin if you are happy to make the 30 minute car journey to and from the hui each day. http://tinyurl.com/dunedinmotels

Holiday accommodation websites - There are several websites offering holiday accommodation in and around Karitane. Many of these have already been booked for the 19^th -21^st of November but there are still some that haven’t – well worth a look! Don’t forget to check out Warrington, Waikouaiti etc.

The Golden Fleece Motel and the Waikouaiti Motel and Tavern are both fully booked.

Waihemo Lodge – Palmerston 03 465 1700 – There are still vacancies here.

The Loom Room (Waikouaiti) 03 482 1364 or ruth-kev@ihug.co.nz – Fully self contained accommodation for two adults. Hui a Tau special - 4 Nights (November 18 -22) for two people: $400 (includes continental breakfast if required). Usual price $125 per night.
