Entry Requirements
To all entrants in the Matariki at the Marae, Wearable Art Show 2011 – nau mai, haeremai, tauti mai.
The very successful inaugural show, run in 2009, has encouraged the small group of volunteers to stage another competition and show at Puketeraki marae with the support of Kati Huirapa Runaka ki Puketeraki. The first show was successful because of the number and calibre of entrants. We are hoping to achieve similar support from creative people in our community again and encourage you to give it a go.
Things you should know:
- The judging will again take place the Sunday prior to the show by an independent panel of experts.
- There are three (3) categories and each category has 1st prize of $200 and a 2nd prize of $100.
- There is also a special “People’s Choice” award with $100 prize.
- The supreme winner is presented with trophy ‘Toi Puketeraki’ to hold for the next two (2) years.
- This year the show will run on two (2) consecutive nights with a dress rehearsal the evening prior to the first show.
- Entries close noon 1 July 2011.
