Maori Cultural Presenters needed for coming Cruise Ship season

We've been made aware of an opportunity in the Maori tousim space in Dunedin.  Visiting cruise ships need Dunedin Maori Cultural presenters to conduct 45 minute interactive workshops onboard cruise ships from October 2010 to March 2011.  Workshops should be entertaining whilst providing passengers with a deeper cultural understanding, for e.g. the significance of a poi, how it is being made and how it is used; how to pronounce Maori words and learn to sing a waiata; the significance of a haka, the meaning of the words and actions of a haka; etc.

This will appeal to people who have a passion to increase the awareness of Maori culture amongst visitors to New Zealand.

If you are interested in being a presenter please contact the Runaka Office immediately.
